Oh, hi there!

I’m writing to you from my home in Beverly Glen, to wherever you live in this massively spread out city, to ask you to attend a dinner party hosted by my supper club.

What’s a supper club, you may ask?

In a similar vein to “pop-up” restaurants or “underground dining,” a supper club is essentially a part-time restaurant, usually held in an intimate space like a person's home, that brings a limited number of people together, (in our case, 14), around one table for homestyle dishes and lively conversation. Supper clubs are born out of a desire for community. They’re about more than just a meal. They’re a full culinary experience and a destination for a night out.

I was first introduced to the concept a few years ago on a trip to London to see my family for the first time after the pandemic. I found out that supper clubs were briefly popular there in the 2010s, but post-pandemic, have had a huge resurgence, and are now cropping up all over Europe as well as in my hometown of New York.

But what about Los Angeles?

As someone who’s lived in this vast, sprawling suburb of a city for almost nine years, I know how rare it is to attend a good dinner party and to just meet people, generally. And much to my dismay, LA’s dining culture has never really been about dressing up or sitting at a banquet table full of strangers. But how boring is that?

So a few months ago, I thought to myself… why not try my best to contribute to a cool, growing, culinary space, by combining the cooking skills I’ve learned from my dad with the hosting and table setting skills I’ve learned from my mom?

How’s it gonna work?

  • In order to RSVP, you must pay for a ticket. Prices will change every month based on the cost of ingredients. Tipping at the end of the meal is not necessary, but definitely appreciated! :)

  • Making friends is part of the experience. Converse!

  • The menu is fixed and we will typically not take substitution requests. If you have an allergy however, please let us know when you RSVP and we can try our best to accommodate.

Finally, a Note about the Menu…

We’re hoping to make this a monthly event! Our menu will rotate every month and will always be published in advance, so if you don’t fancy what’s on the menu this time around, don’t worry. There will be many more of these to come and as a picky eater myself, I totally understand if you prefer to wait until you can book a night that’s better for you and your taste buds.

Alright, wow! You made it to the end of this letter. Thank you for taking the time.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Otherwise, I hope to see you there!
